Titel „Special Mention“ for THE EDGEBAND WHICH OPENS UP DESIGN POSSIBILITIES

We are extremely proud that two of our products have been recognised for outstanding design quality at German Design Award 2019. This is because the German Design Award sets international standards when it comes to the most innovative developments in design. Awards are only given to products which break new ground in the German and international design landscapes.

Döllken CORE-DESIGN
Winner in the category “Surface Systems”

Thanks to the Döllken digital printing technique, two different decors can be printed onto the edge at the same time, in top quality. This makes it possible, without a lot of effort, e.g. to reflect the decor of the niche splashback or the decor of the kitchen fronts as the core of the worktop. This blends the worktop with the entire kitchen – creating a harmonious kitchen world. The Döllken DIGITAL-EDGE “CORE-DESIGN” offers design solutions in detail.

Edition Co-Equal

Surface design for decor papers

With the help of the layering process, Edition Co-Equal unites different patterns to produce new surface designs for decor papers. Traditional herringbone, azulejo tiles or ethnic patterns enter into a liaison with wood, stone or fantasy decors. This diversity of combinations is made possible by the use of modern overprint cylinders which also permit individual wishes to be executed. In addition, digital and analogue printing processes are in use in parallel, thus producing a joint, expressive overall image.

Milestone in the edge design

The premium high-gloss work surface edges impresses with a true-to-scale printed image combined with a premium high-gloss finish. With the help of the newly-developed DIGITAL-EDGE technology, it has become possible for the first time, to also show individual motifs (logos, photos, lettering, graphic design) on thermoplastic edgebanding. The specific placement of distinctive design details has now become possible for creative furniture manufacturers and interior designers. Gloss levels from matt to mirror gloss are available

„ONE in Motion“

Fair stand at interzum 2017

550m² of inspiration: SURTECO presents itself at interzum 2017 with an imposing architecture. The aim was not only to show the diverse skills of the surface specialists, but also to make these tangible, and to inspire. Over five-meter high trees rise into the room, impressively allowing the product portfolio (new designs, highlights in decor matching, technical innovations) to unfold. The orchestration of the edges, in particular, with their corrugated 3D look, drew all eyes.

A new take on embossing

“A genuine eyecatcher: Skilfully upgrading furniture edges.“- Jury pro-K award

As a rule, edgebanding as a finish for chipboard for the furniture industry is usually produced using single-colour thermoplastics. The 3D-Space-Wave innovation combines an unusual design with simple further processing. The co-extrusion of the plastic acrylic and the integrated wave embossing, featuring clear and coloured areas, achieves a look of extreme depth. This optic effect is a genuine innovation in the area of furniture making. At the same time, the smooth surfaces are easy-clean in use and ideal in further processing.
